Dr. Çiğdem Ünal
Born in 1975 in Istanbul, Dr. Çiğdem Ünal completed her high school education at Üsküdar American Academy and earned her medical degree from Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.
She received her specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery from Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine. During her medical studies, she completed an internship at St. Thomas’ and Guys Hospital in London, UK. While a resident, she also completed a rotation at the Plastic Surgery Department of Sheffield General Hospital in England.
In 2007, Dr. Çiğdem Ünal obtained the European Board of Plastic Surgery certification. In the same year, she was awarded a fellowship by EURAPS (European Association of Plastic Surgeons), during which she specialized in breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery. She completed this fellowship under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Hamdi and Prof. Dr. Philip Blondeel at Ghent University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
